Story Telling

Margaret was raised in Prince Rupert, BC and travelled with her father Ken up and down the Skeena River where he would point out ancient sites and retell the stories of their ancestors. It was a deep-rooted part of her childhood evening to fall asleep to the stories of her lineage. Storytelling is an essential part of Gitksan cultural traditions and Margaret carries on this practice by sharing the stories with her children and nieces and nephews. She is also an expert storyteller, and has presented before audiences large and small.
